Recent changes in Flash and website browsers have caused some users to see the mobile site when they are viewing a Classic Site on a desktop computer. If this is occurring with your website, it is due to the fact that either your Flash is not installed/updated or your browser may be blocking Flash.
Clover Sites Classic requires Flash to be installed and enabled for the site to be viewed correctly. The mobile site will appear if Flash is out-of-date or if Flash is disabled.
Here are a few things you may want to check out if you're seeing your mobile site on your desktop computer:
- First, check to see if your Flash Player is updated. You can click the Check Now button on this site to see if your Flash Player is up-to-date.
- If your Flash Player is not up-to-date, you will need to update Flash here.
If you're still seeing the mobile site after updating Flash, it is likely that your browser has Flash disabled. You can enable Flash in your browser by following these steps:
- Enable Flash in Chrome
- Enable Flash in Firefox
- Enable Flash in Safari
- Enable Flash in Internet Explorer
- Enable in Microsoft Edge
Since our Classic Sites are built on Flash, there is no way to force all browsers to automatically show your desktop site as many browsers are moving away from supporting Flash.
This recent change came as a surprise to us, but we are happy to say we have a better solution! You can move to Clover Sites 3 for FREE and no longer worry about Flash. Clover Sites 3 websites are built with HTML5, which is what many websites today are built with. We believe you'll enjoy Clover Sites 3 and we are happy to help guide you as you transition over.
